Bar stitch

Bar stitches are the surgical piercing of the bar ( corpus callosum ) in the brain to create a passage for the cerebrospinal fluid to reduce intracranial pressure. It is a form of ventricular drainage . The bar stitch was developed by Fritz Gustav von Bramann .
