The ballad in C minor op.15 for violoncello and piano is a chamber music work by the Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev from 1912.

Prokofiev's Ballad in C minor, Op. 15 for violoncello and piano contains in the introduction to the main part material from the composer's early drafts for a violin sonata , which he wrote in 1903 at the age of eleven. It is considered to be the earliest work from the published thematic material of Prokofiev.
