Ban Saint Jean is an abandoned military camp located in the municipality of Denting near Boulay-Moselle ( France ). It was built in 1937/38 as a settlement for officers who were stationed along the Maginot Line . The Wehrmacht used it as a prisoner of war camp under the name Johannis Bannberg .

Nowadays the French military occasionally uses the ruins for military exercises. The site has been privately owned for some time and can be viewed with permission from the owner.
