Banco Popular del Uruguay

The Banco Popular del Uruguay is a building in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo .

The building, erected in 1907, is located in Ciudad Vieja at Calle Zabala 1440, corner 25 de Mayo . The architect of the building, which originally served as a bank building, was Cayetano Buigas i Monravà . After it initially housed the Banco Popular del Uruguay , it is now used as an office building. The Uruguayan Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment (MVOTMA) has been located there since 1990 . The twelve meter high, two-storey building with a basement and a floor area of ​​985 m² is in good condition.
