Baniwa (ethnic group)
The Baniwa are an indigenous tribe in Venezuela and live on the upper reaches of the Orinoco in the southern lowlands of Venezuela, adjacent to the Ye'kuana in the north.
They belong to the Arawak language group and have similar cultural characteristics with the Baré , Piapoco , Wakuénai and Warekena .
