The Banka dd Kovanica (short: Banka Kovanica ) is a 1997 north-Croatian Varaždin founded Universal Bank , which is now represented with a total of 14 branches in the largest cities in Croatia. Since May 2007 the Cassa di Risparmio della Repubblica di San Marino , a credit institution of the Republic of San Marino , has been the majority owner of Banka Kovanica.
According to the annual report, Banka Kovanica recorded a total balance of around 151 million euros (1.15 billion Croatian kuna, HRK) for 2014. At the end of 2014, the bank had customer deposits of around EUR 127.4 million (HRK 973.9 million). The lending business with private customers in the same year amounted to EUR 98 million (HRK 750 million).
According to EU directives, Banka Kovanica is a member of the deposit protection fund of the Republic of Croatia (DAB, Državna agencija za osiguranje štednih uloga i sanaciju banaka). The auditing mandate for Banka Kovaica is currently held by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
