Banking Industry Architecture Network

The Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN) is an independent non-profit organization for the standardization of service-oriented architectures in the banking sector. The organization emerged from the Industry Value Network for Banks (IVN), which was founded in 2005. In 2006 IVN had 20 banks and 16 software providers and IT service providers as members.

The aim of BIAN is to increase the flexibility of bank-specific IT systems by improving the system architecture through services.
