location
The steeply rising Barbarossastraße is located north of the old town center and forms a connection between Aachener and Viersener Straße with Staufenstraße. In its old inventory it is part of the historical expansion of Mönchengladbach. The house is located on the western side of Barbarossastraße on the corner of Aachener Straße.
architecture
The building, which was erected shortly before the turn of the century (1892), is a corner-drawn, semi-detached house with a single-axis corner solution. It shows a total of 3: 8 axes and is designed in echoes of style elements of the Renaissance . A decorative plaque with a lion's head attached to the facade facing Barbarossastraße indicates the year of construction: 1892.
