Bardowie Loch is a small freshwater lake in the Scottish Lowlands. It is located about three kilometers southeast of Milngavie and about 10 km north of Glasgow in the Council Area East Dunbartonshire . Bardowie Loch is about 800 m long and 500 m wide.
The lake can be easily reached by car from Glasgow via the A879 and A807 and is therefore a popular excursion destination, which is often overcrowded on weekends. Bardowie Loch houses a water sports center with a sailing school on the south bank. Bardowie Castle is on the north bank .
