Baron Basing
Baron Basing , of Basing Byflete and of Hoddington, both in the County of Southampton , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
Award
The title was created on July 7, 1887 for the Conservative MP and former President of the Local Government Board George Sclater-Booth .
Today's title holder has been his great-great grandson Edward Beckett as the 6th baron since 2007 .
