Baron Castletown , of Upper Ossory in the Queen's County , was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award and expiration

The title was created on December 10, 1869 for former Liberal MP John Fitzpatrick . He was an illegitimate son of the 2nd Earl of Upper Ossory .

The title expired when his son, the 2nd Baron, died childless on May 29, 1937.
