Baron Darcy de Darcy
Baron Darcy de Darcy (also Baron Darcy of Temple Hurst ) was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of England .
Award
The barony was created for Sir Thomas Darcy on October 17, 1509 , when he was appointed to the House of Lords by Writ of Summons .
The 1st baron was executed for high treason in 1537 and his title was revoked. His eldest son obtained the restoration of the title in 1548. The title finally expired when the 4th Baron died on July 5, 1635.
The restoration of the title in 1548 is sometimes also viewed as a new creation of the title Baron Darcy of Aston and counted accordingly.
