He was not assigned an office-dependent diocese , but he had the same rank and the same position as the bishops of the Church of Sweden. He was thus the spiritual representative of all royal orders of knights and, like the other bishops, was appointed by the king to the state parliament without election . His jurisdiction was limited to the Seraphine Order, whose chapter was the governing body for the royal knightly orders (except the Wasa order) . It consisted of the Order Chancellor and Vice Chancellor, Treasurer , Master of Ceremonies , Standard Bearer , Order Bishop and Herald . The order bishop supervised the clerics employed in the hospitals , collegiate churches and orphanages of the knightly orders . He was assigned two chaplains , who were elected from among the court preachers , as employees. In a secondary job and to secure his livelihood , he could also be bishop of a diocese or chief court preacher, in most cases this office was linked to the cathedral church and the Västerås cathedral chapter . On April 28th, the great festival of the Seraphine Knights , he led the service , gave the sermon and the memorial speeches for the knights buried in the Riddarholmskyrkan in Stockholm . At the coronation ceremonies, he was involved with the religious chapter in the enthronement ceremony .
