Baron Herschell
Baron Herschell , of the City of Durham , was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
The title was created on February 8, 1886 for the jurist and liberal politician Sir Farrer Herschell , on the occasion of his appointment as Lord Chancellor . The title expired on the death of his grandson, the 3rd Baron, in 2008.
