Baron Kennet

Baron Kennet , of the Dene in the County of Wilts , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award

The title was created on July 15, 1935 for (Edward) Hilton Young . He had been a member of the House of Commons for 20 years and was most recently Minister of Health. He was a member of the Liberal Party and later the Conservative Party .

Further title claims

The first baron was the youngest son of Sir George Young, 3rd Baronet. Therefore, the respective baron stands in the line of succession for the title Baronet , of Formosa Place in the County of Berkshire, created in 1813 , which belongs to the Baronetage of the United Kingdom .
