Baron Leighton of St. Mellons

Baron Leighton of Saint Mellons , of Saint Mellons in the County of Monmouth , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award

The title was created on January 25, 1962 for the Welsh shipowner Sir Leighton Seager, 1st Baronet . This had already been given the subordinate title Baronet , of St. Mellons in the County of Monmouth, on July 1, 1952 .

Today's title holder has been his grandson Robert Seager as 3rd Baron since 1998 .

Title heir ( Heir Presumptive ) is the brother of the current title holder, Hon. Simon Seager (* 1957).
