Baron Lyell

Baron Lyell , of Kinnordy in the County of Forfar , was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award

The title was created on July 4, 1914 for former MP Sir Leonard Lyell, 1st Baronet . He had already been awarded the subordinate title Baronet , of Kinnordy in the County of Forfar on January 24, 1894 in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom .

The titles expired when his great-grandson Charles Lyell, 3rd Baron Lyell died on January 10, 2017.
