Baron Meston

Baron Meston , of Agra in the Indian Empire and of Dunottar in the County of Kincardine , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award

The title was created on December 29, 1919 for the colonial official and liberal politician James Meston . This was from 1912 to 1918 Lieutenant-Governor of the United Provinces of Agra and Oudh .

Today's title holder has been his grandson James Meston as 3rd Baron since 1984 .
