Kincardineshire

Kincardineshire ( Scottish Gaelic A 'Mhaoirne ) is one of the traditional counties of Scotland , located on the North Sea south of Aberdeen . It is named after the no longer existing medieval town of Kincardine. The historic capital is Stonehaven .

As an administrative county Kincardineshire existed between 1890 and 1975 and then went on in the District of Kincardine and Deeside of the Grampian region . The Grampian region was dissolved with the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act of 1994; since then the area of ​​Kincardineshire belongs to the Unitary Authority Aberdeenshire . Kincardineshire is still one of the Lieutenancy Areas of Scotland today but no longer includes the Nigg area .
