Baron Monson , of Burton in the County of Lincoln , was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of Great Britain .

The title was created on May 28, 1728 for the House of Commons Sir John Monson, 5th Baronet .

He had inherited the title of 5th Baronet , of Carleton in the County of Lincoln, from his father in 1727 , which was created on June 29, 1611 in the Baronetage of England for his great-grandfather Thomas Monson .

The 7th Baron was raised on August 13, 1886 in the Peerage of the United Kingdom to Viscount Oxenbridge , of Burton in the County of Lincoln. This title already expired on his childless death on April 16, 1898. The barony and baronetcy fell to his brother as the 9th baron.
