Baron Shepherd , of Spalding in the County of Lincoln , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award

The title was created for George Shepherd on June 28, 1946 . He was a well-known leader of the Labor Party . He negotiated with Winston Churchill the terms of the coalition government that ruled the United Kingdom during World War II .
