mode

The qualifiers for the A youth championship decide at the regional championships of the eight regional associations. A total of two teams per age group and gender from each of the eight regional associations can be sent to the German Championships, depending on the respective placement of the regional association in the ranking, which results from the placements of the respective representatives in the previous year. The organizer of the final tournament is also set.

The championship is played as a round-robin tournament (4 groups of 4 teams each) with a knockout system . The group winners qualify for the quarter-finals in advance. The group stage is followed by an intermediate round in which the second and third placed in each group can qualify for the quarter-finals. Here the winners of these games meet one of the four group winners. Except for 3rd and 4th place (small final), every placement in the tournament will be played out. Currently, the game is played for two sets of wins, with the third set being played as a tie-break .
