Baron Wedgwood
Baron Wedgwood , of Barlaston in the County of Stafford , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
Award
The title was created on January 21, 1942 for the military and politician Josiah Wedgwood . This was a great-great-grandson of Josiah Wedgwood , who founded the Wedgwood porcelain factory . He had been a Member of the House of Commons for 36 years and the 1924 Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster in the first Ramsay MacDonald government .
