Barry Greenhut
Barry Greenhut is an American composer.
Greenhut became known for rock and pop operas like Ether , Lovable Frog , A Harlot's Progress, and Body of Crime . Body of Crime was performed in 1996 (part 1) and 1999 (part 2) at the La MaMa theater with five actors and 50 puppets. The chamber opera Harlot's Progress (based on a series of graphics by William Hogarth ) was performed in 1998 in the New York Performing Garage under the direction of Theodora Skipitares with life-size puppets designed by her. The conductor was Chris Berg , with Christina Campanella , Felicity LaFortune and Lee Winston as vocalists .
