Bartholomew von Edessa , Latinized: Bartholomäus von Edessa , was a Christian monk from Syria who calls himself the "Monk of Edessa " several times and probably lived in the 13th century.

Bartholomew is known for a font that was given the title Confutatio Agareni in the more recent edition history . In it Bartholomew refutes the objections of the Muslim Agarenos to the Christian dogmas of the Trinity , the Incarnation and the forgiveness of sins .
