The Jamsil baseball stadium (in Hangeul : 잠실 야구장 , in Hanja : 蠶室 野 球場 ) in the South Korean capital Seoul is a baseball stadium located in the southwest of the city's Songpa-gu district and part of the Jamsil sports complex . The stadium has a capacity of 25,553 seats.
The ballpark was built for the 1988 Summer Olympics . The architect of the stadium was Kim In-ho . There the baseball competitions of the games, which were demonstration competitions, were held. The stadium is currently the home of the Doosan Bears and LG Twins clubs.
The stadium was extensively renovated in 2018 and 2019, including renewing the floodlights.
