Doosan Bears (Korean: 두산 베어스) is a professional South Korean baseball club from Seoul and plays in the KBO League, the highest baseball league in South Korea .

history

The association was founded in 1982 in Daejeon by the South Korean brewery OB as "OB Bears". In 1985 the club moved to Seoul and in 1999 was finally renamed “Doosan Bears”. So far, the Doosan Bears have won the KBO League title five times.

successes

In 1982, 1995, 2001, 2015, 2016 and 2019 the Doosan Bears won the Korean Series.

Venue

The home games of the Doosan Bears are played in the Jamsil Baseball Stadium , which is located in the Jamsil district of Seoul . They share the stadium with their rival, the LG Twins.

  • Park Cheol-sun (1982-1997): Pitcher , whose number 21 has not been awarded since then.
  • Kim Young Shin (1985–1986): Pitcher who died in a car accident and whose number 33 has not been awarded since then.
