Basedig is a structured data search engine and statistical data analysis platform that was created in 2019.

description

Basedig collects public data (open data) from various sources, regardless of their format. The data is indexed, stored in database tables in a single format, and combines data and metadata.

The search engine enables instant identification of the tables with the relevant data corresponding to a keyword search. Data tables can be downloaded as CVS , Excel or JSON files. It is also possible to collect data via a dedicated API that is documented.

The Basedig site was developed in Python from a Django framework.

Basedig is also a collection of libraries written in Golang . Basedig's libraries enable the collection, indexing, structuring and massive storage of data. The libraries contain modules for business intelligence, machine learning and artificial intelligence . Thanks to the implementation of libraries in Golang, the performance of Basedig is of the same order of magnitude as that of libraries in C and is therefore faster than the equivalent libraries written in Python ( Scikit-learn ) or R. The ability to parallelize Golang authorizes the parallel execution of calculations on many cores, making the architecture suitable for massive data processing.

Basedig applies to various industrial applications such as B. Predictive analytics (industry forecasting, predictive maintenance, forecasting commercial performance). Basedig is also used to optimize purchases.
