Bastei adventure novel

Bastei adventure novel or just adventure novel was a booklet series of the Bastei publishing house , which appeared from 1960 to 1964.

The series did not have a continuous plot, but consisted of completed 64-page novels, which featured different heroes and came from different authors. What they had in common was the action-oriented plot set in exotic locations. The 196 editions include some reprints of old loan book texts; 23 of the novels were later reprinted as adventures between Rio and Shanghai .

At times the series, which was set in the relative present, had the subtitle "Men under the spell of the wide world" ; recurring characters were Jonny Kent and William Stone . Authors were u. a. Albrecht Peter Kann , Horst List and Hans Peter Weißfeld .
