Measures Act on the Building Code
The Measures Act on the Building Code (Building Code Measures Act, BauGB Measures Act, BauGBMaßnG) is a German law for the area of land-use planning . It complements the building code .
Among other things, it establishes the following principle: "When drawing up, amending, supplementing and repealing land-use plans in accordance with the building code, the urgent housing needs of the population should be given special consideration." which are shown on the zoning plan as residential building area or residential area or which, according to Sections 30, 33 or 34 of the Building Code, can primarily be built on with residential buildings. The law also contains provisions for the approval process.
The Measures Act on the Building Code was amended on January 1, 1998 by Article 11, Paragraph 2 of the Act on Amending the Building Code and Regulating the Law of Spatial Planning (Building and Spatial Planning Act 1998 - BauROG) of August 18, 1997 (Federal Law Gazette I 1997, Pp. 2081–2112) expired.
