Accident insurance for construction workers

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The construction worker accident insurance is intended to cover risks that can lead to damage with the help of friends and relatives - i.e. all non-commercial persons - on a private construction site . A distinction must be made between private insurance with an insurance company and statutory compulsory insurance with the employers' liability insurance association.

Compulsory insurance

The insurance carriers of the statutory compulsory insurance are the professional associations . The builder has to register his building project with her, regardless of whether the employees are already covered by private insurance. The client and his spouse are not insured. You can, however, take out voluntary builder insurance with the insurance company. The contribution to be paid is based on the number of hours worked and a market-based, fictitious remuneration. As a result, the private helpers are ultimately to be insured like commercial employees.

Private insurance

With private insurance, the builder himself and his family members are also regularly insured. In advance, you can choose between claims settlement through a lifelong annuity or a high one-off payment ( compensation for all, including future, claims). In most cases, the number of helpers who are present at the construction site at the same time must be specified. The insurance usually ends when the construction work is completed.
