The Bauhinia is a botanical journal published by the Botanical Society of Basel is issued.
The magazine first appeared in 1955. Since then, until 2007, 20 volumes have been published, as a new volume does not appear every year. The volumes appear in June each year. The editor is Esther Schreier.
The Bauhinia magazine was named after the plant genus Bauhinia ( Bauhinia ), whose name was chosen in honor of the brothers Johann Bauhin (1541-1613) and Caspar Bauhin (1560-1624), who were born in Basel and who worked as botanists .
