Tree species group

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The grouping of different tree species into a homogeneous group is called a tree species group or wood species group. This summary is often done in forest management or timber statistics, when the rarer tree species alone do not allow a meaningful individual consideration. The summary is done differently as required.
