Building blocks from Strøby

The four building stones of Strøby (A to D) are located southwest of Aakirkeby near the hamlet Strøby (not to be confused with the town of Strøby / Zealand ) on the Danish island of Bornholm .

  • The building block Strøby A, which stands in a meadow, is triangular. The sides of the 1.42 m high stone measure 80 × 80 × 80 cm ( building stone Strøby A ).
  • Strøby B, about 45 m away, has a semicircular cross-section. It is 1.0 m high. The flat west-facing side of the stone is 80 cm wide. The stone is 55 cm thick and slightly rounded at the top ( building stone Strøby B ).
  • The building blocks Strøby C and D, 105 m away, are close to Klintebovej.

The standing stone Strøby C is about 1.7 m wide, 0.7 m thick and 2.0 m high. The stone is inclined to the north. The fallen stone Strøby D is 1.0 m wide, 0.6 m thick and 1.9 m long ( building stones Strøby C and D ).
