The Bavarian State Personnel Committee (LPA), based in Munich , according to Art. 112 BayBG a personal authority administering the State of Bavaria, which for the implementation of parts of the civil servants law (public) for state and non-state authorities and judiciary in Bavaria is responsible.

The tasks and activities include, among other things, the central selection process for the careers of the 2nd and 3rd qualification level and career examinations for state civil servants as well as participation in the further development of the Bavarian civil service law.

A Secretary General (currently Dr. Sigrid Schütz-Heckl) is responsible for the management. The office consists of the units L 1, L 2 and L 3. The LPA is an authority in the business area of ​​the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance and Homeland .
