Beatrix "Trixi" Delgado (born June 21, 1966 in Davos ; actually Beatrice Obrecht ) is a Swiss singer. Delgado achieved her worldwide breakthrough in the mid-1990s as the voice of the German Eurodance project Masterboy .

Career

Delgado joined the two musicians Enrico Zabler and Tommy Schleh in 1993. The first single she recorded with Masterboy was Everybody Needs Somebody , which hit the charts in numerous countries in the summer of 1993. She celebrated her greatest success in the summer of 1994, when she rose to number 8 in Germany and to number 2 in the charts together with Masterboy and the single Feel the Heat of the Night . In total, she recorded three albums and 13 singles with the band.

In the summer of 1996 Delgado separated from the band. Shortly after separating from Masterboy, she released her first solo single Falling for Your Love under the name LaTour , which flopped, not least because of the bankruptcy of her record company Metronome Records . In 1998 she recorded the single Hold On to Your Dream produced by the Swiss DJ together with Nancy Rentzsch , who later became the wife of DJ BoBo . She also worked as a studio singer on DJ BoBo's album Level 6 . After five years, Delgado rejoined Masterboy in 2001 without being able to build on previous successes.

After Masterboy had taken a creative break, Delgado continued their collaboration with Tommy Schleh and his project Klubbingman and hit the charts again in 2005 with the new recording Love Message . Never Stop This Feeling was number 77 in the German charts in August 2007.
