Biological Security Officer

Biological Safety Officer is a function that has to ensure compliance with the Genetic Engineering Act (GenTG), the Genetic Safety Ordinance ( GenTSV) and the Biological Agents Ordinance (BioStoffV) in a laboratory .

As a representative for biological safety, one must submit appropriate evidence of training and be named by the laboratory management to the responsible supervisory authority.
