from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the area of social policy , there has been talk of needs-based basic security for some years now , which aims to bring together the necessary social benefits for people at risk of poverty such as the unemployed , minimum pensioners or large families in order to come closer to the goal of social justice . In Germany , needs-based basic social security has been discussed - albeit controversially - for a number of years; in Austria it was a specific point of negotiation in the government negotiations in December 2006.
