Flagging public buildings in the United States

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the United States of America , all public buildings are flagged with the national flag on a daily basis . At night the flag is lowered or illuminated. In front of buildings of the individual states , the flag of the state is also shown - but always lower or smaller than the federal flag. Often both are shown on the same mast one below the other.

Many companies display the federal flag on their premises, often in oversized designs.
