Inspection (occupational safety)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Regular inspections of the workplaces by the company doctor and the occupational safety specialist are an essential instrument of occupational safety and health in order to identify and avoid dangers in good time.

The main purpose of the inspections is to get a comprehensive picture of the actual working conditions on site so that employers and employees can be given sound advice. To fulfill this advisory role, regular inspections are essential.

According to the Occupational Safety Act (ASiG), specialists for occupational safety and company doctors support the company in questions of occupational safety and accident prevention.

In Austria, the inspection is regulated in the Employee Protection Act. In companies with up to 10 employees, an inspection by the occupational physician and safety officer must take place every 2 years and in companies with 11 to 50 employees .
