ADR label for limited quantities in road, rail and sea transport, valid since January 1, 2011

Limited quantities or Limited Quantities (LQ) is the abbreviation for the term dangerous goods packed in limited quantities from dangerous goods law .

The limited quantities within the meaning of ADR / RID represent a partial exemption from the transport regulations. This partial exemption can only be used for packages that consist of an inner packaging (e.g. bottle) and outer packaging (e.g. box, tray ) consist. The capacity of an inner packaging is limited depending on the dangerous goods and can be found in ADR chapter 3.2, table A, column 7a. The total weight of the entire package is limited to 30 kg or 20 kg (tray with stretch or shrink film).

This exemption cannot be applied to certain dangerous goods; This is expressed by the fact that the capacity of the inner packaging is set at 0.

If particularly small quantities (e.g. 10 × 5 ml) of dangerous goods are packed and shipped, the general exemption for dangerous goods packed in exempted quantities according to Chapter 3.5 ADR can also be used.
