Location of Bella Vista in Paraguay

Bella Vista is a city with around 10,000 inhabitants in the Amambay department in Paraguay . The addition Norte is used to distinguish it from a city of the same name in the Itapúa department.

Bella Vista was founded on October 12, 1918; it is a border town with Brazil on the Río Apa . On the opposite side of the river is the Brazilian city of Bela Vista in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul . The city lives mainly from agriculture and animal husbandry.
