comment

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A remark is generally an utterance by a person. Comments can be made verbally. However, they can also be recorded in writing.

These recorded comments are used for representation, documentation or clarification. There are explanatory remarks as notes (see annotation , Latin: note ) in (scientific) texts. There are numerous compositions (compound words) that address special comments or their form: follow-up comment , secondary comment , marginal comment, director's comment , concluding comment , intermediate comment .

In a meaning that is now considered out of date, a remark can also address a perception or observation .
