The Benzhou Vehicle Industry Group Co., Ltd. was founded on May 20, 1997. It is based in Taizhou (Zhejiang) , People's Republic of China . Around 200,000 motorcycles and scooters from 50 to 150 cm³, 300,000 motors and 150,000 electric vehicles are produced there every year. Production is in accordance with industry standard ISO 9001. With around 1,000 employees, according to the company, sales between 50 and 100 million USD will be achieved at the beginning of 2008. In Germany, the vehicles are sold under various brand names and designations, such as B. Hurricane X1 and X2 marketed.

In Germany, Benzhou vehicles were also sold under the names JackFox and Rex. Germany's general importer was Jack Fox in Eppingen, which had to file for bankruptcy in 2009 and continues to operate under the name Nova Motors today. The address and managing director have remained the same, but the range of vehicles has been cut very far and other manufacturers such as Vespa, Peugeot, Gilera, Daelim, to name a few, were added to the range. Apparently they wanted to prevent another bankruptcy by including additional well-known brands in the offer.

Benzhou mainly produces vehicles in the lower price segment that are identical to models from other manufacturers.
