The von Berg (also called Schrimpf , called Schrimpf von Berg , Schrimpf vom Berg ) were a Frankish - Swabian knight family.
Origin and Distribution
The von Berg family has been recorded in the church records of the imperial city of Schweinfurt since 1574 . In the 19th century there were family members in the city as mayors, manufacturers or merchants. In the Kingdom of Bavaria they can also be found in Bavarian aristocratic registers .

The coat of arms has a silver and red to blue geschachten bar . The helmet cover is blue-silver. The crest shows two blue horns with the nested bar.
