The Mountain economics is that part of the field of economics that deals with the prospecting , exploration and production and the marketing and trading of mining techniques derived raw materials employed.

Sub-disciplines

A distinction is made between internal mining economics , which deals with the individual mining operation (in particular with the production factor deposits ), and external mining economics , which deals with the raw material markets . In the production and distribution of crude oil and natural gas in particular, one speaks of upstream and downstream .
