Berlin Brass Quintet

The Berlin Brass Quintet is a brass ensemble consisting of members from Europe.

history

The quintet was initiated in 2012 by the two trumpeters Dominik Gaus and Timofej Stordeur, two former students of the "Hanns Eisler" University of Music in Berlin . The main focus is on original literature for brass quintets.

In addition to concerts, the quintet regularly plays framing at various events and ceremonies in Berlin.

On October 24, 2017, the ensemble played the German national anthem at the constituent session of the German Bundestag.

The ensemble is not to be confused with the group "Das Berliner Blechbläserquintett" ("The Berlin Brass Quintet") that existed in the 1970s.
