Berlin tattoo

The Berlin Tattoo (from English tattoo = Zapfenstreich ) is a music show that takes place on the first weekend in November in Berlin . It is the successor to the Berlin Military Music Festival. Berlin Tattoo is based on the Edinburgh Military Tattoo . The event is the largest tattoo in Germany.

History and venue

The Berlin Tattoo was called “Berlin Military Music Festival” until 2010 and took place in the Max-Schmeling-Halle . From 2011 to 2013 there was an event of the same name at O2 World Berlin , but it took place for the last time in 2013. In June 2014 there was also a Berlin Tattoo in the Berlin Waldbühne , which continued the tradition of earlier military music festivals of the British military. The Berlin Tattoo in the Max-Schmeling-Halle still takes place on the first weekend in November.

The music event includes dance, music, singing and shows. The Berlin Tattoo program changes annually and is presented by international orchestras, bands and dance formations.
