The Berlin Lacrosse Club (BLAX) was founded in 1993 as the first lacrosse club in Germany by two former exchange students. Both had gotten to know the North American game during their exchange and wanted to continue to play the sport. The two men's teams are members of the Bundesliga East. The women's team is a successful member of the Bundesliga North.

The Berlin Lacrosse Club is the organizer of the annual Berlin Open , one of the largest lacrosse tournaments in Europe. In 2008 the traditional European tournament took place from 20. – 22. June on the Maifeld at the Olympiastadion Berlin .

The club is multiple German champions for men and women and currently (2014) has around 130 members. He has provided several national players in the past.

The Berlin Lacrosse Club has been part of SC Charlottenburg since 2008 . In 2009 the men's team became German champions for the fifth time.
