Bernd H. Mühlbauer

Bernd H. Mühlbauer is a German economist . His main focus is health care .

He studied at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal and has been working in consulting since 1983. After graduating, he worked for an American auditing company Ernst & Young and carried out performance audits of hospitals across Germany. In 1984 he became a research assistant at the Institute for Health System Research in Kiel (Director Fritz Beske MA). In 1986 he moved to the University of Witten / Herdecke, where he managed the university-related consulting company EPOS together with Ekkehard Kappler as managing director. In 1990 he founded his own consulting company in Dortmund ; The resulting bh.m GmbH is now based in Herten . Mühlbauer is a professor of business administration, in particular health care management in the economics department at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences in Gelsenkirchen. He is a member of the interdisciplinary Institute for Health at the Westphalian University as well as a member of the board of directors of Diakonie Mark-Ruhr .
